Privacy Policy
Deal Champ is a commercial real estate underwriting workspace in private beta. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, and the choices you have. Questions go to hello@dealchampcre.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist sign-ups: your email address and any answers you choose to give in the optional questionnaire.
- Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a one-way hash), plus the organization you belong to.
- Deal content: documents you upload (offering memorandums, rent rolls, operating statements, spreadsheets, images), the text we extract from them, your chat conversations with the assistant, model inputs and outputs, and the files and artifacts generated from them.
- Usage records: the amount of AI processing each request uses and its estimated cost, so we can meter the service.
How we use it
We use this information to run the service: to sign you in, store and analyze your deals, answer your questions, build underwriting models, and contact you about Deal Champ. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your deal content to advertise to you.
AI processing
The assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude models. When you upload a document or chat about a deal, the relevant content is sent to Anthropic through its commercial API to produce a response. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, content sent through the API is not used to train its models. When you ask the assistant to research something online, your search queries go to the web through Anthropic's search tools.
Who processes data for us
- Anthropic: AI models and document processing.
- Amazon Web Services: storage for uploaded documents and generated files.
- Railway: application hosting and our database.
- Resend: sending account and notification emails.
- Google Workspace: our own email.
Each provider handles data under its own security and privacy commitments to us.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to a deal is limited to members of the organization that owns it, and every account is approved by us before it can use the app. No system is perfectly secure; please don't upload anything you aren't permitted to share with the providers listed above.
Beta data
During the beta we may reset, migrate, or delete data as the product changes, and we will try to tell you before we do. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Your choices
You can delete documents from a deal at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account and your organization's data deleted, email hello@dealchampcre.com. To leave the waitlist, email us and we will remove your address.
Changes
We will update this page as the product changes and revise the date above. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will let account holders know by email.
